The Florentine Opera Company presents Río de Sangre
June 4th, 2008 -
William Florescu, the general director of the Florentine Opera Company, has announced that a fully staged production of Río de Sangre will premiere in October 2010 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Noele Stollmack will be creating the sets and lighting design, and Joseph Rescigno will conduct the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Casting is currently underway.
The Opera Conference 2008

Don Davis will be in attendance at the Opera Conference 2008 in conjunction with the National Performing Arts Convention, taking place in Denver, Colorado, at the Colorado Convention Center. He will be participating in the AmericaSpeaks caucuses, talking about his work on Río de Sangre, at the following times:
Wednesday, June 11: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 12: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Friday, June 13: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Saturday, June 14: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Don to conduct film music concert in Spain
June 2007 -
Don will be conducting a film music concert in Tenerife, Spain in June. The program will include The Matrix Symphony, "Neodämmerung" from The Matrix Revolutions, The Warriors of Virtue Suite, and choral and orchestral interludes from Río de Sangre.
Río de Sangre to be read by New York City Opera
May 13th, 2007 -
Río de Sangre, Don Davis' opera in progress, will be read in part by the New York City Opera on May 13, 2007 at the Skirball Center at NYU, from 4:30-5:30pm. The performance is free, and part of their VOX: Showcasing American Composers 2007 Festival.
The Good Life premieres at Sundance Film Festival

The Good Life, the new film by Stephen Berra and starring Harry Dean Stanton, Zooey Deschanel and Mark Webber, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The movie features an original score composed by Don, along with Joel Petersen of the band The Faint
Don scores Ten Inch Hero
January 14th, 2007 -
Don finishes work on his latest score for the film Ten Inch Hero, directed by David Mackay and starring Elisabeth Harnois, Clea DuVall, Sean Patrick Flanery, Jensen Ackles, Danneel Harris, Alice Krige and John Doe.
