The Florentine Opera Company presents Río de Sangre

William Florescu, the general director of the Florentine Opera Company, has announced that a fully staged production of Río de Sangre will premiere in April 2010 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. José Marie Cosemi is set to be the stage director, with Noele Stollmack creating the sets and lighting design, and Joseph Rescigno will conduct the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Casting is currently underway.

The Opera Conference 2008

Don Davis will be in attendance at the Opera Conference 2008 in conjunction with the National Performing Arts Convention, taking place in Denver, Colorado, at the Colorado Convention Center. He will be participating in the AmericaSpeaks caucuses, talking about his work on Río de Sangre, at the following times:

Wednesday, June 11: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 12: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Friday, June 13: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Saturday, June 14: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
